Artist's Description

Study in process in pastels over paper, done almost in a monochrome limited greyscale , from an ancient Christ figure with signs of disintegration and decay -related to me to the universal symbols of death, human corruption and mortality, and confronted to the classical imaginery of the resurrection of Jesus. A new representantion of the traditional Vanitas theme maybe with some reinforced christian echoes
